Recent Events and Activities :
1st Annual Meeting of Sol Mexico Members – May 16th and 17th

Collaboration is essential for building shared vision, surfacing and testing mental models, and thinking systemically about complexity. The GSN network has grown beyond their founders and communities surfaced in several countries, in the same manner, the Mexican network has grown in the last year, and new members became part of the community. Sol Mexico is in the beginning of a tipping point and the necessity of a space to have an opportunity to integrate and to reconnect with old friends and colleagues was imperative.

The First Annual Sol Mexico Members' Meeting was held in Cuernavaca, Morelos at the IMTA installations (Mexican Institute of Water Technology) May 16th and 17th. More than a half of the total members assisted to this two days gathering, the sessions gave us a chance of building new collaborations, share learning and experiences, and strengthen the network, several events were planned to sustain this in the long term.

The meeting had two purposes:

  1. For the 16th to know each other talking around scenarios of the Mexican community and what could be the role of Sol Mexico in each one. The material was the base to have interesting conversations in the world café type to generate significative dialog.
  2. To explore new ways of participation and collaboration among people, and between organizations like Sol Mexico and Global Sol Network.
