Sensing and Seizing Emerging Opportunities
Brief Description:
"Leading in the New Economy: Sensing and Seizing Emerging Opportunities" is a hands-on workshop for leaders at all levels. Offered in partnership with the Society for Organizational Learning, the course combines Generon's most recent research with over 25 years of scenario-based strategy formation, new economy venture creation, and generative leadership development in a practical process for navigating in the new economy. The foundational practices include:
* observing: identifying biases and seeing reality with fresh eyes
* scenario thinking: recognizing the patterns shaping future possibilities
* presencing: accessing inner sources of creativity and will
* crystallizing: developing and focusing a laser intent
* executing: acting decisively to capitalize on new opportunities
Led by Beth Jandernoa and Otto Scharmer, the 4-day course incorporates immersion site visits to exceptional high-performing companies in the Silicon Valley, guest speakers such as Sante Fe Institute's Brian Arthur, and small-group practice in applying new competencies to your own business challenges.
