The SoL Council of Trustees is the formal decision-making body for the founding SoL community, the stewards for SoL's name and trademark worldwide, and a forum for strategic deliberations. Annual elections are held to fill half of the seats in each of the three constituencies; trustees serve two-year staggered terms. Currently, there are 15 elected members of the Council (determined by a formula in the constitution) plus the President of SoL. The Council meets approximately 8 times a year, 2-3 times in face-to-face sessions.
