Consultant Membership in Founding SoL
A consultant member is an individual willing, able, and qualified to assist in the dissemination and implementation of the theories, methods, and practices of SoL, and participate in their development. Consultant members may be individuals who are actively engaged in organizational learning related work and/or who have contributed significantly to development of the theories, methods, and practices of SoL. Currently there are 115 consultant members of Founding SoL.
SoL's membership model emphasizes engagement in three key processes — community connections, applied learning, and exploring core questions. It honors varying levels of engagement, experience and interest in this field, while maintaining appropriate standards of quality and fairness.

Application Information:
In addition to a completed Consultant Membership Application, we request two letters of reference from companies or colleagues who are familiar with your work. (References from other SoL members are helpful, but not required.) The SoL Council approves applications on approximately a quarterly basis. Applicants will receive formal notification of their status after the Council's decision.
The next deadline for receipt of consultant applications is Friday, May 30, 2008. The Membership Committee will review all applications in June and make their recommendations to the SoL Council for final approval at the July 16-18 Council meeting. You will be notified shortly thereafter.
Cost: The individual consultant membership fee is $275 for 2008, payable for the calendar year. Fees for the initial year of membership are pro-rated based on date of acceptance. Upon notification of acceptance as a member you will be invoiced for your membership dues.
Once you have applied for membership, you may request information regarding contributing to or drawing on a member-created "redistribution" fund. Our intention is to enable participation in the SoL community independent of the ability to pay the full membership fee.
If you have any questions about membership that are not answered by the information on our website, please contact Membership Services at solmembership@solonline.org.
