Frank Schneider, Managing Director
Frank Schneider is responsible for ongoing operations and strategic partnerships by working closely with SoL's growing global community of organizations, individuals and networks committed to fundamental systems change and advancing the state-of-art in building learning organizations. Frank joined SoL in 2001 and most recently has been responsible for enrollment and production of all the SoL capacity building workshops. Previously Frank’s work focused on engagement of members and clients along with business development.

Prior to joining SoL in 2001, Frank was a credit analyst for business loans at Deutsche Bank AG in Germany. In this role he worked with managers of German and French business clients and consulted with several start-up clients assisting them to expand nationwide. Subsequently, he became a Human Resource Manager in one of Germany's largest research centers taking responsibility for 900 employees of various scientific-technical and commercial professions in 12 of the center's research departments.

Frank received his undergraduate degree from universities in Germany and France and completed internships in several multinational companies in Luxembourg, France, and Canada. As a member of AIESEC he organized numerous workshops on developing communication skills and understanding management and leadership in turbulent times. Frank received his MBA from Boston College, where he was awarded with the Edgar F. Huse Memorial Award for his outstanding contribution to the field of organization studies.

Frank has published articles in The Systems Thinker and Reflections: The SoL Journal, and is a member of the Honors Society Beta Gamma Sigma.

Dave Howell, Business Manager
David Howell brings over 20 years of general management experience to SoL, with emphasis on financial management, operations, customer service, and contracts. Most recently he co-managed the start-up of Practical Solar, Inc., manufacturer of the world’s first redeployable concentrating solar system. Mr. Howell also started up Phoenix West Corporation which achieved profitability in one year. He joined Cambridge Technology, Inc. in 1994 as General Manager and after being promoted to President, the company went on to become the world market leader in closed loop optical scanners. As a consultant, Dave specialized in strategic planning, profitability enhancement, and organizational development. He has performed on-site surveys of scores of companies around the world.

Dave is on the Board of Directors of Practical Solar, Inc. (Boston, MA, USA) and CVI Corporation (Alberta, Canada). He is a member of the national Concentrating Solar Standards Sub-Committee chaired by NREL and the SRCC and has had a number of public speaking engagements on the topic of concentrating solar energy. Mr. Howell’s education includes an MBA and JD from Boston University, and he is a member in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Diane Nakashian, Executive Assistant to Peter Senge
Diane is an Executive Assistant at SoL supporting Peter Senge and Sherry Immediato. In this position she manages Peter's calendar and works with Anne Starr to coordinate Peter's public speaking engagements and travel arrangements. Diane previously worked for Dialogos and Innovation Associates/AD Little in a similar position and was the Office Manager for the IBM PC User Group of the Boston Computer Society.
