Other Learning Communities
-
- "Since 1989, Pegasus Communications has worked to build a worldwide community
of organizational learning and systems thinking practitioners through its
conferences, newsletters and other publications, and audio and video recordings.
Our aim is to present superior resources that enable you to accomplish what
really matters in the community of the workplace."
-
- "The theme for the 2000 Academy of Management
Meetings is "A New Time." This theme was chosen to take advantage of the year of
the meeting and to stimulate and encourage new and creative thinking and research
on time, an area of inquiry that plays important roles in both management
research and practice, but that has not received as much scholarly attention as
it warrants. The name of the theme also conveys that we will be attempting to
implement some new ideas at the Academy meeting, especially aesthetic
representations of the theme. Carrying out something "new" is a great way to
welcome a new century.

- "The Stanford Learning Organization Web (SLOW) is a network of
Stanford researchers, staff, and students interested in the nature and
development of learning organizations. While concerned with all facets of
learning organizations, we are particularly interested in the deployment of
information technologies and multimedia as enablers of team learning and learning
communities."
-
- The Program on Social
and Organizational Learning (PSOL) is an inter-disciplinary academic unit within
the College of Arts and Sciences at George Mason University, Virginia, which
focuses on understanding 'social learning', or the way knowledge comes to be
discovered, conveyed, and used in social systems and organizations. Established
in 1992, it consists of a highly collaborative team of scholars who share an
interest in interpretive approaches to social issues and design the
cross-disciplinary graduate courses, groupware technologies, and research
projects pertaining to the way societies and organizations learn."
-
- "System Dynamics is a model and simulation based study of complex,
dynamic systems within the domain of social sciences."
-
- System Dynamics in Education Project is focussed on ways of teaching System Dynamics to children in grades K-12
