Appreciative Inquiry

David L. Cooperrider, the founder of the theory and practice of appreciative inquiry, has written that this action research methodology "...involves the mobilization of inquiry through the crafting of the 'unconditional positive question' often-involving hundreds or sometimes thousands of people." At this year's meeting, we used an abbreviated form of Appreciative Inquiry to "heighten the positive potential" of the group to bring about the outcomes we desire.
