Location and Directions
The Royal Sonesta is located at 5 Cambridge
Parkway, Cambridge, MA 02142. The hotel is located just three miles from
Logan Airport and taxi fare is approximately $15.00 each way. For
driving directions, please contact the hotel directly at 1-617-806-4200.
Display Bookstore
You will have an opportunity throughout the
meeting to display your publications at our bookstore. If you wish to
make your materials available for browsing, please bring them with you
to the hotel.
Attire
The attire for this meeting is casual, however,
please bring a sweater because the temperature in the meeting rooms is
sometimes difficult to control. Additionally, we will be spending a day
and evening outside on Thompson Island. While Boston can be warm in late
June, it can also cool down at night. Please be sure to bring comfortable
walking shoes or sneakers, a jacket or sweatshirt, and rain gear. |
Spouse / Family Participation
Spouses and partners are welcome to attend
the cocktail reception on the first night for an additional charge of
$75.00 and the evening celebration on Wednesday, June 26 (costs to be
determined). There is plenty for the whole family to do while at the Sonesta.
As part of the SummerFest program, the hotel provides bicycles and boat
rides on the Charles River. In addition, Guest Services at the hotel can
help you make arrangements to play tennis or squash, go on sightseeing
tours and shopping excursions, arrange for theater tickets and museum
tours. There are also special events taking place all the time throughout
Boston.
Fee Structure, Expenses and Formal Scholarships
We made all efforts to make our Annual Meeting
as open and accessible as possible to our diverse community of members
and friends. A graduated fee schedule has been established to accommodate
the various SoL constituencies. Special discounts are available for early
registrations (by April 30th) and for SoL members bringing non SoL members
to the meeting. (more information is available on
the registration form) Scholarships will be available to reduce the
registration fees. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please
fill out the designated area on the
faxable registration form and fax it back no later than May 31st.
The limited number of scholarships available will be awarded to qualified
applicants on an ongoing basis until the deadline. The registration fee
includes meeting materials, all sessions including Special
Interest Group Sessions, the trip to Thompson
Island, plus: dinners on Monday and Tuesday, lunches on Tuesday and
Wednesday, and continental breakfast and breaks Tuesday through Thursday.

All cancellations must be received in writing
and may be faxed to 1-617-354-2093. The amount paid less a $100.00 processing
