The SoL Forum on Business Innovation for Sustainability is designed for business professionals interested in developing and integrating sustainable business practices for environmental and social prosperity as well as a means for driving innovation, efficiency and economic growth. Many organizations are finding that sustainability generates rewards for our natural and social communities as well as for the economic bottom line and that long-term financial success is highly dependent on ecological and social vibrancy. This shift, however, requires significant organizational change, individual education, and the cultivation of new markets.

At this world-class event, practitioners from business, NGO's and academia will address sustainable business challenges from an organizational learning perspective. Leading organizations that have successfully integrated learning organization principles into their daily operating framework are finding these disciplines to be a highly effective conduit for the innovation and energy necessary to make sustainability a reality. Participants will be given both the conceptual framework and practical tools to begin integrating sustainable practices into their organizations.

The SoL Sustainability Forum will serve as a catalyst for accelerated learning and thinking on sustainability through innovative best practices, compelling case studies, and interaction with leaders in the field. Join us in October and learn how to seize new business opportunities, create environmentally sound solutions for your organization, and help create imaginative solutions to seemingly intractable problems.

At this Forum, we will engage and seek answers to the following generative questions:
  • What do sustainability and renewability mean to your organization?
  • What measures and metrics define internal sustainability success?
  • What is the compelling business case for sustainability?
  • In what ways are businesses now able to tap into environmentally conscious and supportive customers?
  • What are the hidden economic incentives and benefits of sustainability?
  • How are leaders integrating organizational learning principles into everyday operations in a way consistent with sustainability practices?
  • What are the ways and the conditions that harness team creativity in the service of energizing a sustainable enterprise?
  • How are leaders learning to balance needs for financial profit with social and ecological responsibility?
