WELCOME TO THE SoL COACHES COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE

PURPOSE

The purpose of the SoL Coaches Community of Practice (CCOP) is

To create a Community of Practice
In a way that engages members fully around real work
So that the quality and reputation of coaching among COP members improves through time, and results and effectiveness increase for all key stakeholders.

MEMBERS

The CCOP is a subset of the consultant and research communities of SoL. We are looking for thought leaders in the field of executive coaching and leadership. Please apply for membership if you have a passion for excellence in the practice of coaching and are committed to advancing our collective learning and the SoL Coaching Model. Participants have at least three years experience as an executive coach (or equivalent as a researcher in the coaching field), are active individual members (consultants or researchers) and are willing to mentor new coaches as we expand.

The CCOP is a self-organizing body. What happens within the CCOP is a direct result of the initiative its members take. The CCOP has historically met once or twice a year in sessions focused on increasing our capacity as coaches and connecting to the larger SoL Community. This past year, a core group of Business Stewards has emerged to look at how to leverage our experience and expertise, further the SoL coaching brand and develop a business model for delivering our services. The Business Stewards have continued to solicit participation and input from the CCOP and are hosting face-to-face meetings to further develop the idea of an accredited coaches training based on systems thinking. Please contact Jeff Clanon for more details.

PARTICIPATION

The SoL Coaches COP is a participatory and contributory body, which exists entirely due to the active involvement of its members. What we have is what we have created: we welcome and expect each member to participate in this creation. Participants are willing to commit time and energy to the SoL Coaches COP, participating not only in the events, but on design teams and other committees that further advance our practice and the SoL Coaching model.
