Community Purpose:
SoL is a global learning community dedicated to building, diffusing and applying knowledge and understanding about fundamental institutional change. Our vision is to nurture organisations worthy of people's fullest commitment The purpose of SOL is to discover, integrate and implement theories and practices for the interdependent development of people, their networks and their institutions

EMERGENT STRATEGIES: Historically people within organisations have expected to be led but now strategies are emerging from within companies that are not directed. The main problem in creating a learning organisation is the lack of communication.

PASSION & CREATIVITY: OL can unleash the passion and creativity of the people within an organisation, allowing innovation and refocusing of the company, leading to leadership with partnership.

DIVERSITY: Cultural change and creativity embrace and enhance diversity in an organisation. Learning is a strategy for success but learning can often be blocked.

COMMUNITY & ENGAGEMENT: Individuals can be trained but learning takes place when we interact with others, so much can be gained from being part of a learning group such as SOL-UK (London). What will make organisations – and the people within them - learn are when they can see the competitive advantage they gain. Learning involves communication, sharing and engagement.

ADDING VALUE: S0L-UK (London) provides a rich network with other learning organisations, the nutriants for improvement, gives access to the global community and a share in the research. It has to give long-term sustainability and add value to individual members. Membership of SOL-UK (London) is about improving that "dividend" to stakeholders.
