Marc Waxman, Executive Director

Marc Waxman is responsible for ongoing operations and strategic partnerships by working closely with SoL NA’s growing global community of organizations, individuals and networks committed to fundamental systems change and advancing the state-of-art in building learning organizations.

Prior to joining SoL NA, Marc worked for over two decades in public education. Most of his career was spent founding and leading progressive urban charter schools in Harlem, NY and Denver, CO. Although Marc has extensive non-profit leadership experience, Marc thinks of himself first and foremost as a teacher and is always trying to bring out the best in others and lead towards positive change.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut where he double majored in Science in Society Program and Biology and a Masters of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College Columbia University. Marc is an avid runner. He lives in Wrentham, Massachusetts with his wife and two sons, along with three dogs and two cats. Contact Marc at mwaxman[at]solonline.org.

Miho Kito, Programs Manager

Originally from Japan, Miho has worked in the banking industry and as an Organizational Development & Human Resource Management consultant. She completed her masters degree in Organizational Leadership and worked in higher education for several years before joining SoL North America in 2015. Contact Miho at mkito[at]solonline.org.

Jessica St. John, Director, Business Development & Engagement

Jessica is responsible for developing organizational synergy across SoL North America’s Public Programs, Business Development, Engagement and Outreach, Marketing/Communications, and Social Media domains. Prior to joining SoL North America, Jessica founded Goodland, an advisory company that guided clients in the area of sustainability and helped foster a deeper relationship between people and planet through the adoption of sustainable enterprise powered by regenerative finance. Over her career she has worked with a variety of corporate and nonprofit partners across the country; Milwaukee Art Museum (Santiago Calatrava addition), Harley-Davidson (Harley-Davidson Museum), Kohl’s (Capital Projects). She also served as the Director of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City and as the Director of the SVA Theatre, one of New York City’s leading arts organizations and premier entertainment venues, host to the esteemed Tribeca Film Festival.​ In her free time, Jessica is an avid reader, practices yoga, and aspires to complete a full marathon. Judith Swasey, Business Manager

Judith Swasey is responsible for the day-to-day business operations of SoL North America. She joined SoL NA in 2011 with a strong background in the non-profit arena. Contact Judith at jswasey[at]solonline.org.

Diane Nakashian, Executive Assistant to Dr. Peter Senge

Diane Nakashian, is an Executive Assistant at SoL North America supporting Peter Senge. In this position she manages Peter’s calendar and works with Anne Starr to coordinate Peter’s public speaking engagements and travel arrangements. Diane previously worked for Dialogos and Innovation Associates/AD Little in a similar position and was the Office Manager for the IBM PC User Group of the Boston Computer Society.
